Discovering the Power You have Through Christ Jesus
The Christian faith thrives throughout the earth because there is assurance of healing and prosperous living. These benefits no one can receive through deception. The only ways open now is to follow the path of truth and study the following principles. This will help in no small measure.
No one can rule out the possibility of not being sick or having any form of illness in this life. Most of the time, we are the cause of our sicknesses and illnesses. How, you may ask? Most often, it is the food that we eat and we know we are not supposed to eat such food. Sometimes, because of lack of money we are forced to eat some food not good for our system and from there we become sick or ill. Also, in the course of living up to this age, we have engaged in sinful activities that can open the way to Satan to allow for sicknesses to enter into our bodies. Another example is lying frequently. We are built up to always say spiritual things with no mixture of lies in them. If we do to the contrary, the possibility of the tormentor visiting us is sure. Read 1 Peter 2:5. As believers in Christ, we have the assurance that we can live a healthy life when we decide to do the right things according to God’s commandments and believing that through Christ we are always healed whether we feel any symptoms or not. We can achieve this by praying to God to grant us all of our our health needs through Christ Jesus. One of the reasons God called us to Himself was to give us a healthy life. We have to believe it permanently in our daily living.
If we understand the scriptures very well, we will see the reason why we do not get some things is because Satan through his angels prevented us from receiving our blessings. We also know that Abraham’s blessings belong to us. According to Galatians 3:13-14. We are entitled to receive Abraham’s blessings through faith in Christ Jesus. We know Jesus Christ died in poverty so that we can be rich and be self-sufficient. It is because of Jesus Christ that God extended the blessings reserved for the Israelites to us believers all over the world. By being hanged on the cross, Jesus Christ was able to break all obstacles to our blessings. Read Galatians 3:29. So long as you are a born again Christian, you belong to Abraham’s seed, all the promises God made to those who worship and serve him belongs to us.
At this point all of us should read Genesis 22:17-18 together. Anywhere we see “you” and “your”, put your name in it, so that God’s blessings can flow into our lives this moment.
CONCLUSION
1. By our own doing, we open up ourselves for sickness and illness to enter into our body. For example, by drinking unclean water which is not pure,by buying junk food which is not well cooked and by engaging in unholy acts. But because of Christ, when we decide to correct our daily living, we will become healthy.
2. The scripture says “It is God that gives power to get wealth. One way in which we can get wealth is to believe that God has endowed us with Abraham’s blessings so that God will always remember to bless the work of our hands. We can obtain that blessing only when we believe that Jesus is our Lord and Saviour and always pray to God through him.
